The movie highlighted the clash between European sailors and priests with Japanese Feudal culture and history. I enjoyed watching it again after I read the novel by James Clavell. The 12 hour TV miniseries of Shogun stood the test of time.
The 10-episode series will be based on James Clavell's bestselling novel, with Andrew Macdonald, Michael De Luca, and Michaela Clavell serving as EPs alongside Tim Van Patten, who will also direct multiple episodes.
